Getting to Brisbane
Brisbane Airport
Brisbane Airport (BNE) is approximately 20 minutes from the city centre by Airtrain. Services operate directly from both the Domestic and International terminals, with trains generally running every 15 minutes during peak periods and every 30 minutes outside peak times.
The Airtrain station is directly accessible from both terminals: from the Domestic Terminal via the Skywalk, and from the International Terminal on Level 3.
Airtrain is separate from the Translink 50-cent fare system. Current airport fares should be checked when booking, as prices and special offers can change.
Airport transfers, taxis and rideshare services are also available from Brisbane Airport.
Getting around Brisbane
Once you're in the city, you won't need a car.
Buses, trains, ferries and trams form an extensive public transport network across South East Queensland. Translink fares are currently a flat 50 cents per journey, regardless of zones or mode, although Airtrain services are excluded.
Brisbane City Council also operates free City Loop buses around the CBD, connecting places including City Hall, Queen Street Mall and the City Botanic Gardens.
And don't overlook the ferry. Travelling along the Brisbane River by CityCat is one of the most enjoyable ways to move between the CBD, South Bank, Howard Smith Wharves and Brisbane's riverside suburbs.
